Update!

It’s November 17th, and so far we’ve kicked off our Kelowna Compost imitative with a slow and steady start. We know the potential benefits and progress that can come from creating a compost program in Kelowna, and are now in the process of reaching out to others in our community. Newspapers and media sites, along with social media and public discussions are all ways in which we hope to continue to raise awareness about the initiative.

What we need to do going forward:

Get connected! We are continuing to look for contacts and fantastic people who want to be involved and support a curbside compost program in Kelowna. We are aiming to gather more petition signatures and further engage community members both on campus and in Kelowna. We have reached out to more groups in the community and are hoping to find some new partners who are willing to support and promote our petition

Our end goal is to bring the results of our petition to the city, should we be able to generate enough support behind the initiative.
